WORKING MEETINGS WITH CAGG NETWORK MEMBER PARTNERS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ACTORS


During August month we held several working meetings for the planning of activities that we will be co-organizing from CAGG in the last quarter of 2023 in Spain, Czech Republic and Austria.

We met with authorities from Transversal, Mexico, The Global School for New Leadership in Austria, CIPPEC, Argentina, Instituto de Investigación y Educación Económica, Argentina, CESCOS Uruguay, the Organization of Iberoamerican States (OEI) in Madrid, the Institute for New Economic Thinking in Berlin and Forum 2000 in the Czech Republic.


In the coming days we will be sharing in detail the schedule of activities through CAGG RRSS and website.



 

CAGG PRESENTS GREEN AL-INVEST PROPOSAL IN HONDURAS TOGETHER WITH AIPAH AND THE HONDURAN-GERMAN CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE (AHK)


Together with the Industrial Association of Palm Oil Producers of Honduras (AIPAH) and the Honduran-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) we present the project "Actions to support SMEs and small oil palm producers in Honduras in geolocation, reduction of carbon emissions and contributions to biodiversity".


The work proposal is oriented towards 7 strategic objectives:


  1. Support traceability of palm fruit to comply with the European Parliament resolution regarding deforestation 2.

  2. Improve decision making and practices of the palm sector with respect to its performance related to natural resource protection.

  3. Geolocate and census independent oil palm producers.

  4. Increase the volume of business of MSMEs and small producers.

  5. Estimate carbon sequestration and contributions to biodiversity in the Honduran oil palm plantation system.

  6. Generate recommendations and identify best practices for optimizing the management of oil palm plantations in Honduras

  7. To achieve a simplified due diligence considering Honduras as a low risk country.


Project actions will be focused on SMEs and small producers in the localities of Cortés, Atlántida, Colón and Yoro.
